EMDR Intensives are becoming increasingly in high demand. Intensive sessions can offer a higher degree of safety as the extended time allows for the needed assessment and resourcing that some clients need. This course will offer specifics on how to structure and implement EMDR Intensive Therapy. Intensive EMDR sessions offer an opportunity for clients to experience healing in less time and clinicians to expand their methods of delivering EMDR therapy. This course will address intake process and paperwork, assessment of client appropriateness, specifics on how to select and space target memories and how to target cluster memories. Â
EMDR Intensive Therapy offers both clients and therapists a way to personalize and expand the way EMDR therapy is delivered.Â
- List 3 things that determine appropriateness of an EMDR Intensive session.
- Identify complex cases that are appropriate for Intensives.
- Describe how to determine the spacing of target memories in an EMDR intensive session.
- Describe cluster processing and how to utilize it in an EMDR Intensive session.
