Course Description: Anxiety has not only been on the rise in the United States over the last decade, it has been a presenting issue for many clients since the start of the Pandemic. Anxiety has many shapes, sizes and forms, and the way it presents can be unique to each client. This training will explore the many ways that Anxiety presents and discuss how the root of that anxiety can be early traumatic experiences. This workshop is intended to help build upon knowledge that a clinician has obtain in EMDR therapy training. An empirically based EMDR Anxiety protocol will be taught that can be used specifically with the anxiety symptoms of Panic Attacks, Phobias, and generalized anxiety.

- Describe one way the phobia protocol differs from the standard EMDR protocol.
- Describe how symptoms of anxiety can be an adaptive response that may have an origin in early traumatic experiences.
