Description
LIVE Virtual Course will take place May 7 & 8, 2025 from 10:00 – 2:00 PM Eastern Time
Meeting on Zoom
Instructor: Elan Shapiro
Personal Transformation Institute (PTI) is thrilled to partner with Elan Shapiro, the founder of the G-TEP methodology, to deliver this exclusive live training event. Designed to expand on the foundational principles taught in the 6-day EMDR Basic Training, this course takes your EMDR skills to the next level by introducing the powerful Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (G-TEP).
The EMDR G-TEP protocol is a group application useful for groups including couples, families, and those impacted by a traumatic event. Presenting issues can range from public events such as natural disasters or act of violence in a community, to personal and familial events such as traumatic bereavement, divorce, diagnosis, etc. G-TEP can be used in a variety of settings: the office, the field, or institutions such as hospitals, IOP, and/or Behavioral Health. Many therapists who learn G-TEP actually use the protocol with individual clients, because of the safety and containment it provides.
Course includes lecture and opportunity to practice skills in a live group setting
- Identify and comprehend key features and concepts of the Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (G-TEP).
- Demonstrate the bilateral movements within the G-TEP protocol utilizing the G-TEP worksheet.
- Use key procedures for the G-TEP protocol.
- Demonstrate the ability to apply the Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (G-TEP) in their clinical practice.
